How We Handle Your Data

What This Is

SpriteStory is an early-stage product that turns your stories into playable pixel-art experiences. It's experimental—you may encounter bugs, delays, or imperfect results. We're actively improving it based on feedback.

What We Collect

Story content you provide:

• Email address (to deliver your story)
• Story title, characters, and scene descriptions
• Reference photos (Memory tier only)
• Art style and music preferences

Payment information:

• Handled entirely by Stripe
• We never see or store your card details
• We store only the order amount and payment confirmation

Usage analytics:

• Anonymous usage data via PostHog
• We track things like which steps people complete, not what they write
• Session recording is disabled

What We Don't Do

• We don't sell or share your personal data
• Your stories are private unless you share the link
• Your content is not used to train AI models
• Character names are anonymized before being processed by AI

Third-Party Services

Your data is processed by:

• Stripe – Payment processing
• Claude API – Story expansion (content only, names anonymized)
• Google Imagen – Image generation (content only, names anonymized)
• Supabase – Database and file storage
• Resend – Email delivery

Data Retention

Stories and associated data are stored indefinitely during this test period. We haven't established automatic deletion yet.

Requesting Deletion

To delete your data, email corky@spritestory.com with your story title or email address. We'll remove your data within 7 days.

What to Expect

This is a test version. The product is provided as-is. You may experience:

• Occasional bugs or delays
• Image generation that doesn't match your vision
• Variations in AI-generated content

Refunds: If something goes wrong with your order, email us and we'll make it right.
